'This MC is going to stand by this MC because this is so iconic'
Cyrus, fangirling Mariah Carey, clasped the GRAMMY in her hands, close to her heart at the dazzling environs of Los Angeles.
Whilst many mentioned Cyrus' 'unserious' composure while receiving the award, the
singer, marked by fearless exploration and unapologetic honesty, considered the win more than just a materialistic golden gramophone; it was a long deserved acknowledgement for her constant grind of creativity and authenticity.

Fig.1 Cyrus at the GRAMMYs
The road to winning a GRAMMY was not easy. Throughout her journey Cyrus
weathered the storms of scrutiny and criticism, in both her personal and professional life with unyielding resolve.
The single Flowers goes beyond its haunting melody and ethereal vocals, carrying a profound emotional weight that provides insight into Cyrus's personal life as she reflects on her relationship with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. Featured in Cyrus's highly anticipated album, Flowers serves as a poignant tribute to love and loss, delving into the
intricate nuances of human relationships with a raw vulnerability that is uniquely hers. Through stirring lyrics and vivid imagery, she takes listeners on a journey through the landscape of her memories, where the blossoming of love once thrived, only to wilt and fade away.
We were good, we were gold
Kinda dream that can't be sold
We were right 'til we weren't
Built a home and watched it burn
Throughout the track, Cyrus itemizes the moments she once shared with a lover, weaving a narrative of intimacy and passion that feels both intensely personal and universally relatable. Yet, beneath the surface lies a bittersweet acknowledgment of the inevitability of change, as she grapples with the pain of letting go and moving forward.
Whilst Cyrus has not yet commented on the specific inspiration behind Flowers,
enthusiasts have eagerly decoded its lyrics for clues about her state of mind during the frenzied period of her life. Some hypothesize that the song serves as a farewell to Hemsworth while others interpret it as an expression of grief and moving forward, as Cyrus confronts the pain of letting go and embraces the power of self-love.
Disregarding fan interpretations, Flowers stands as a testament to Cyrus's unwavering authenticity as an artist.
As Cyrus took to the stage gracefully in her silver fringe dress, evoking the aura of a '70s diva, to accept her golden gramophone, the moment was unmistakable. With tears of
joy, she thanked her fans, her collaborators, and all those who had supported her along the way.
In her memorable speech, Cyrus related a tale of a boy who yearned for a butterfly on his birthday, only to receive a butterfly net from his parents. Despite his initial excitement and fervent attempts to catch one, he ultimately surrendered, accepting that he could not capture the elusive butterfly. It was at that moment of realisation that the butterfly alighted delicately on the tip of his nose, akin to how the song Flowers became Cyrus's butterfly.
Despite the glitz and glamour surrounding her, Cyrus has remained grounded, expressing her desire that the award would not alter her life the following day, as she cherished the beauty of her yesterday.
Miley Cyrus and her music serve as a powerful reminder that real success is not just about awards, but about finding the courage to stay true to oneself.
